Spring 2016 Couture

Collections that never disappoint... Armani Privé and Giambattista Valli.

This metallic purple from Armani was present in every single look and I loved it, it's so nice when a new color pops up.
Some silhouettes were futuristic matching the cosmic color and contrasting with the retro waves the models wore on their bobs.

Flowers, more flowers and tule ruffles. The formula is always the same but never disappoints. I'm a sucker for his dresses, I can't really argue that he's a cutting-edge designer but his work always reminds me of why I love fashion, why I spent hours as a kid looking through magazines and editorials.

The ghost of Raf

Pretty sure that the ghosts that workers say haunt the Christian Dior Atelier have a new friend, the ghost of Raf.
His spirit is still very much present in the collection presented by the young team of designers, a collective effort that felt cohesive. I liked the collection but I ended up feeling that something was missing, can you make a couture collection without a ball gown or a statement piece of some kind? Shouldn't these collections make you dream?
