Bags, Bags, Bags...

The two bags I would buy for Spring (and for the rest of my life) if I had 2000 and something euros to spend in bags.

NYFW# Jill Stuart

The New York designer proves that the trend of the summer (the 70's, for all you guys under a rock) can smoothly transition to winter clothes... The 70's will still be here when December arrives in the form of "A" line suede skirts, suede coats and turtlenecks. This is a collection that you easily live in all winter, at least I can.

NYFW# Kanye West x Adidas

Every fashion snob favorite target has got to be Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian and thats why we're going to hear Well Kanye just can´t keep the status quo and once again he's back in the limelight with his collaboration with Adidas presented last night at NYFW. You can clearly tell that this collection came from his mind, you can just imagine kanye wearing every pair of slouchy pants, every cargo jacket and sweater. I love his aesthetics for men but for women, try again because ultimately the tights body suit will not sell. The most interesting thing to me was the selection of models that presented the collection, you had ethnic and body type diversity wich brought the much needed dose of reality to a streetwear collection.

The Suit

I definitely have something to say about this stament piece of the season, the suit. About four years ago blazers were all the rave, you could just put it on over everything, tshirts, tops, bras, pijamas and you would guarantee a stylish outfit.
I bought my first blazer in 2010 because before that I really couldn't care less about what was considered formal wear and because the ideia of wearing a pant and jacket suit was too overwhelming and frankly boring. I wore it to exaustion pretty much everywhere. After college the blazer became even more important, specially if you study law like I did, the blazer became my uniform and so I started buying more blazers with different colors, patterns, fabrics and silhuoetes until the day came that I just couldn't do it anymore and they were locked away.

Nowadays the idea of wearing a suit, of being head-to-toe in the same fabric and color is actually refreshing so I'm quite happy about this trend.

The blue shirt issue

The desire to buy a classic blue shirt is growing on me every day, I can easily match it with everything in my closet, wich is essencial since I've adopted some new rules to guide my purchases.

These are all from H&M and the second one from the top is my choice.

PARIS FASHION WEEK Spring 2015 // Valentino

There is so much more to say about PFW Couture and NYFW is already upon us... despite that there is still something we have to talk about, that Valentino show that once again exceeded all expectations. I understand that most people will find this collection too theatrical and too literal in it's interpretation of sixteenth/ seventeenth century folk but a Couture collection can be all that, actually it should be all that and even more. No harm done, haute couture lets designers exercise their creativity muscle without restraints and the result is always something to behold.

The designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli walked us through the social ladder of the early modern russian society, from the rural workforce consisting of the peasent woman that wore simple dresses with plain fabrics, to the noble woman that wore rich fabrics with brocade patterns embroidered and deep colors. Once again folk motifs are present and this time is very easy to spot the russian inspiration.

What else can I add? You just need to look at the clothes and you'll start dreaming of touching them and being abble to apreciate those embroideries anf fabrics in first-hand.

\\ Suede

Suede is replacing neoprene in my heart has my favorite material this season. It represents the return to natural and simple fabrics instead of the technologically advanced synthetic materials.
